I have a spotty track record with 'New Year's Resolutions.' I love the idea of a new year with a clean start, but there is something less than compelling about a federal holiday to inspire me. However, once in a while, I find a practice that sticks.
This year my resolution with the most longevity is telling people about the significant impact they have on me.
I have been following up with this practice because it has been so good to share what I have kept bottled up, mulling over personally for so long. To delight an unlikely person because they inspired me in some way...And to do it knowing that this inexplicable glee is the direct result of sharing the thing that was never mine to possess.
As a way of following up with this resolution, I submitted this reflection and this one to honor some significant friends in my life. If you haven't already signed up for the Blessed Is She daily devotions, I highly recommend it.
