I chose a topic that is a bit more pertinent for today. It is cooling down and there is much talk about boots, pumpkin spices and the flu. I know this because I took the troops in for flu shots last week. It was a tough sell--no flu shot "mists" this year--and we are anything but stoic. But we survived (barely!).

I think everybody has their go to "cure all" for winter bugs. For some its tea, others apple cider vinegar, essential oils, or Nyquil. For those who recall My Big, Fat, Greek, Wedding: Windex. Honey is yet another cure all to consider that we may have in our kitchen cabinet, unaware of its impressive litany of remedies. Here is a short list of things I know about honey--
Old Wives Tales and other miscellaneous honey-cures
No major epiphanies today--only the impressive number of remedies to be found in this already rich substance to be passed on. So, enjoy your toast, your tea or baklava in the name of self-care. Here's to a well winter (and happy tummies!).
